  • Honors Art Club meets tonight after school (10/22). Please have a ride by 5.

  • Attention Student Council officers only: Morgan Murphy, Katie Furrer, Ema Causevic, Caylee Teague, and Hannah Franke, please go to Mrs. Lakebrink’s room at this time. Thank you!

  • 8th Grade boys volleyball practice has been cancelled for today! 8th Grade girls will still have practice in the gym after school!

  • Library Council we ARE meeting today.

  • Boys Jr. Tiger Basketball try-outs for 6,7,8th grade boys are Thursday night at Oakville High Gym A    7-9 p.m.

  • Students, as a caring school community, OMS is raising money for Mr. Ken Dorn’s family.  As you know Mr. Dorn an OMS bus driver was tragically killed when struck by a car last Friday night. Please bring a donation of $2 or more this Friday to wear your favorite hat.  Also, Many students from his bus will also honor Mr. Ken by wearing bow ties Friday as well.  Mr. Ken was a fan of bow tie Tuesdays.  Thank you for your kindness.

  • Wednesday school will be held in Mrs. Lakebrink’s room today, room 107.

  • (McMahon/Pieper) ATTENTION ALL BAND MEMBERS! Our cookie dough has ARRIVED! Please visit the hall outside of the Band Room to get it either during Advisory (when your teacher allows you to go) or immediately after school. If you know that you have a large order, you MUST come and get it this evening. Mrs. McMahon/Mr. Pieper will be here until 8:00 pm this evening. IT IS FROZEN COOKIE DOUGH, SO COME AND GET IT TODAY TO GET IT DELIVERED. Thank you for doing an awesome job on this fundraiser!

Cross Country Event
Middle school students participated in the annual cross country race at Jefferson Barracks Park on Thursday, Sept. 18. The race is good exercise and a great way to build school comradery.

Innovative Lesson on Instructions Made Possible Because Teacher Won Grant Money

Two Oakville Middle School teachers, Jennifer Walter and Anna Layton, were awarded grant money from the philanthropic website www.donorschoose.org. Click here to read more. 

Miss Layton got funding to purchase nearly 2,000 Legos for an innovative lesson about the scientific method and how to make instructions.

School Starts - Welcome Back!

Locker Decorating
What's your pleasure? Wall paper? Carpet? Shelves? Nothing signals the start of another school year like Locker Decoration Day at OMS. On Wednesday, Aug. 13, students had the opportunity to add a little flair to their locker.

OMS Honored at National Convention!
OMS students and staff were honored for their designation as a School of Character at a national convention in mid-June.

OMS Celebrates Being State School Of Character
 A special assembly was held for all Oakville Middle students on March 12, so the school could receive its banner for being a State School Of Character.
