Author Visit
 Author, Kenneth Oppel, will be visiting 8th Grade. Attached is an Order Form if you would like to order a signed copy of his new book that is coming out.
National Junior Honor Society inductees
 Congratulations to our 2014-15 National Junior Honor Society inductees!  The induction ceremony was held on Thursday, April 15th at OMS.  Students were chosen based on the five pillars of NJHS -- citizenship, leadership, service, scholarship and character.  Congratulations to all of our new members!
Stock Market Game Winners
Stock Marget Game Winners
 Congratulations to the team of Jake AuBuchon and Brandon Mumma for taking first place in the St. Louis region Stock Market Game competition and the team of Lexie Huether and Lexi Seawel for taking second place!  All 7th grade STRETCH students at Oakville Middle School participated in this St. Louis region competition.  Teams were given $100,000 in fictional money to spend in the real stock market over the course of 12 weeks.  Both teams invested in companies like Under Armor and Nike and each team's portfolio grew more than $3000 in this short time!  

OMS Celebrates Being State School Of Character
 A special assembly was held for all Oakville Middle students on March 12, so the school could receive its banner for being a State School Of Character.

  • AM ANNOUNCEMENT - (Cupp) Reminder: All 7th Grade Choir members will come to class during 3rd hour today.

  • (McMahon) Jazz Ensemble! Rehearsal! After school! Today!

  • (McMahon) 6th Grade Band: Six Flags Field Trip is TOMORROW. You should arrive at school in your black trip T-shirt, shorts that are not gym shorts, and tennis shoes. Tomorrow morning, you will check in with your first hour teacher and WAIT UNTIL AFTER ANNOUNCEMENTS, then head down to the Band Room.

  • (Spelde) 7th Grade is hosting a hat day tomorrow for an OMS family in need.  Please bring $2 to wear your hat in support of this family.

  • (Layton) Green Team’s will meet in room 218 today after school

  • (Knopf) Student Council is meeting today in room 107 until 4:00.  

  • Box Tops Competition ends May 2

  • Students it has come to our attention that a few students have switched lockers without permission.  You may not switch lockers without permission from one of the principals.  If you have switched lockers, please notify the office immediately.

  • (Meinershagen) TRACK and FIELD TEAM- If you plan on buying a T-shirt for the meet, tomorrow is the last day.  If you are not buying a shirt and you need to borrow a shirt, please report to the cafeteria  Friday during advisory to get a shirt from Mrs. Meinershagen.

  • 8th graders interested in trying out for Oakville High School Hockey Cheerleading there are flyers in the distribution center.

  • (Cupp) - 7th and 8th grade choir members - you have permission forms and a health form due to Mrs. Cupp tomorrow. Please remember to get them signed and bring them to school!

  • Detention will be held in Room 120 with Mr. Ruzicka today.

  • (Catanzaro) - Seventh grade students may stay after school today for homework help. Homework help will take place in room 200 from 2:50 PM until 3:50 PM. See you there!

  • (Catanzaro) - Congratulations to Halie Easter for following the Oakville way of Respect, Restraint, and Responsibility! Halie is always helpful in Mrs. Flieger’s classroom. Way to go Halie!

  • (Krazer) Character Council applications are due tomorrow to Coach Krazer.  Late applications will not be accepted.

  • (Meinershagen)  6th grade track practice runners only after school today

Hats On To Help
